The Nigerian Students’ Union UK is the umbrella body that represents all Nigerian Students’ societies and associations in Universities across the United Kingdom. We are a Non-for- organisation registered in England and run by Nigerian Students and Alumni. We empower, Inspire and motivate students of Nigerian origin and youth studying in the United Kingdom to get active and assume leadership positions in their institutions and in society so as to stand out and fulfil their goals and aspirations in life. At Nsuuk, we believe that the educated and engaged youth possesses the power to solve the world’s toughest problems.
Vision
To inspire Nigerian students to become empowered leaders with skills and confidence to actively develop themselves, the communities they live in and our great country Nigeria, towards positive change.
Mission
We aim to create a strong link and platform for private and public sector organisations and institution’s to engage Nigerian students from the United Kingdom, for the transfer of internationally acquired knowledge, skills, experience and manpower towards the development of the Nigerian youth and growth of Nigeria.
Goal
Our goal is that by the year 2020, NSUUK through its activities would ensure all Universities with over 10 Nigerian students will have an active Nigerian Students’ Society. By that year NSUUK also hopes to have established pathways towards the set-up of Nigerian students’ Associations in Colleges and sixth forms that have a considerable population of Nigerian Students. We believe this is important because by involving Nigerian students and youth in in positive thoughts and ventures such as running their own Nigerian Students club/society, they would be dissuaded from social vices and feel a sense of responsibility that would prepare them for Higher Education and be better ambassadors of Nigeria.
